Long ago, they were all taken from an orphanage in little Paris — a room of children nobody had come back for — by men in labcoats who carried clipboards and spoke of them in numbers. In that lab the children were given injections that bloomed through their hair in odd bright streaks: some turned green, some purple, some lavender, some yellow. There were other experiments too, ones they'd rather not talk about, or remember. They spent their whole young lives behind that glass.
Until one night Miki gnawed her way out. She spilled into an alley, bleeding and trembling — and there was Yeshua, come riding down the dark on a glowing white pegasus. He did not ask her name. He carried her back, threw open every door, and released them all — her friends, her siblings, everyone.
To this day the scientists have no idea what happened. Money is at stake, and they have gambled on those lives, so they are still looking. But they will never find them — because the siblings did not simply run away. Yeshua gave them a new home, one that does not exist on this earth at all: an entire universe of their own, called the CafeDreamr.
